Luxury holiday home with pool in the northwest of the Canary Island of La Palma

Villa Maraja is ideal for a couple who wants to live very comfortably, but also if you want to holiday with friends or family.

The holiday home Villa Maraja, newly built in 2022, offers 110 sqm of living space for four people and a baby.

All rooms of the house face the sea, large sliding glass doors bring light into the rooms.

Thanks to the glazed veranda, the holiday villa scores with a unique unobstructed view of the Atlantic and, in the evening, of La Palma's famous starry sky.

The energy supply of the house is provided by solar collectors.

The kitchen is of high quality and equipped with modern appliances. All rooms are equipped with a split unit (air conditioning/heating). In the living area, guests also have a pellet stove for cosy and warm hours on the couch for cooler days.

Both bedrooms are equipped with a French double bed and an en suite bathroom with shower.

The heated private pool can be illuminated in the evening, creating a special ambience.

The modern Villa Maraja offers a well-kept outdoor area on a 500sqm plot.

The outdoor area has been landscaped with palm trees, pebbles and artificial grass. A petanque field and table football provide variety. Binoculars are available for guests to observe the starry sky. Various seating options, sun loungers and parasols as well as a gas barbecue complete the successful overall picture.

The house is located in Aguatavar, a district of Tijarafe.

Within walking distance, in the immediate vicinity of the house, you will find the panoramic restaurant La Muralla. From there you have a beautiful view over the whole west coast. A bus stop is also very close to the accommodation, but we strongly advise you to rent a car.

Within five minutes by car you are in the main centre of Tijarafe, a tranquil village with about 3,000 inhabitants. There you will find a supermarket and a pizzeria where you can spend the evening.

Several hiking trails, including the Camino Real GR130, lead through Tijarafe and from there towards Tazacorte or Puntagorda.

The hiking tour to Smuggler's Bay / Prois, below Tijarafe, is also very beautiful. Puntagorda can be reached within 10 minutes. There are several Canarian restaurants in the tranquil village centre. At weekends there is a farmers' market, the "mercadillo". There you can buy local products and local artists present their works.
