Los Polveros is situated on a 4000m² property in Las Indias, a district of Fuencaliente, in the south of La Palma
Independent travellers will feel very comfortable here and enjoy tranquillity as well as breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the unspoilt, harsh landscape.
This place provides an insight into the formation history of the island.
The small village Las Indias is a community of Fuenacaliente and has only a few inhabitants
Start your extended tours right from the Holiday House, for example to the Volcano Teneguia, which was formed only in 1971 or to the Volcano San Antonio where you can walk along the crater's rim. An information centre provides more details about the formation history of the volcanic landscape.
The sea is 10 driving minutes from Los Polveros.
Playa Zamora has a small kiosk where you can enjoy delicious fish and a great time at the beach. It is also a nice place for snorkelling. Thanks to the neighbouring marine reserve you still observe a large variety of species. More nearby beaches are Punta Larga, Playa de Echentive, Playa Nueva and Playa del Faro at the lighthouse. The beaches are partially sandy, others are pebbled and are clearly less frequented, than the wide beaches in the West.
The lighthouse and the Salinas in Faro at the southern top of the island are two more attractions.
The area above Fuencaliente shows a complete different face of the island with extended pine tree forests. From there you can start tours to the green east side or along the Volcano Route towards the opposite direction.
The 80m² Holiday House is nestled on a green oasis
The terraced garden features palm trees and exotic plants as well as a lawn for sunbathing right in front of the Holiday House.
With an altitude of 365 meters above sea level Los Polveros provides a pleasant climate year-round.
Living Area
The largest room of the Holiday House is the showpiece living room with a fitted kitchenette.
Blending well with the dark, Canary wood gable roof an African touch has been added to the living room. Large paintings with African motives perfectly match the sitting area comprising two large sofas and an armchair.
An antique wooden chest and a beautiful rocking chair complete the special furnishing.
The place is also perfect to make yourself comfortable during the winter months. The new fitted kitchenette is very well equipped. A counter with a small table and three stools is a nice dining area. The cabinets below the counter provide plenty of space for kitchen utensils and provisions.
Bedroom
A round arch partially featuring a natural leads to the double bedroom.
Like in other rooms the inside walls were decorated with dark wood laminate. Large, hinge doors allow the light to enter the room and at the same time offer you a great view of the sea and the seaside Hotel Teneguia. A small, simple bathroom with a shower and a toilet is located next to the entrance of the Holiday House.
