La Antigua Escuela

Pretty holiday home with history directly on the hiking trail GR 130 

Originally, the holiday home "La Antigua Escuela" was a school in the district of Aguatavar in Tijarafe in the northwest of the island.

It has been lovingly restored by its new German owners and transformed into a very special holiday home. The glazed, roofed entrance area to the house brings in additional daylight and naturally warms the house during the day in winter.

The living space extends over two floors, which are connected by a spiral staircase.

On the upper level there is a large kitchen and a living/dining room with fireplace and sofa. From the dining table you have a beautiful view of the sea. In the lower part of the house there is the bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with shower tub/WC. In adition to the chimney, an electric heater is available for the guests.

The accommodation also offers a small garden with two romantic sitting areas and barbecue facilities.

Due to the rather narrow and steep spiral staircase in the house, the accommodation is only recommended for adults. It is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

The nearest restaurant "La Muralla" is only a few minutes away by car or about 15 minutes on foot.

Aguatavar is located between Puntagorda and Tijarafe, the local shopping facilities, restaurants, organic food shops and the farmers' market "Mercadillo de Puntagorda" are all 12 minutes away by car. The car park of the beach "Playa de la Veta" is about 15 minutes away, from there you need about 25 minutes on foot. The large sandy beach of Puerto de Tazacorte is about 25 minutes away.
