Dos Caracoles 1
"Dos Caracoles" means two snails in Spanish.
Dos Caracoles are two identical holiday homes whose basic structure is based on snail shells.
Dos Caracoles 1 is on the right-hand side, i.e. to the north, when looking at the accommodation from the pool. This is towards the east behind the house, not towards the sea side to the west. For your orientation, you will find a floor plan of Dos Caracoles in the gallery.
Round walls and natural stone cladding mix with modern architecture to create a very special feeling of space. Spaciousness, brightness, accentuated walls in the orange of burnt clay in Dos Caracoles 1, or carmensine red in Dos Caracoles 2, terracotta tiles and high Canarian wooden ceilings create a relaxed cosiness in the accommodation, which is framed by subtropical plants.
The Dos Caracoles holiday home complex can accommodate a total of 12 people.
Dos Caracoles 1 or 2 (with 150 sqm per unit) each have three bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) for six people. The two accommodations share a 5 x 12 m swimming pool. The water is treated without chlorine using salt water electrolysis. The large terrace around it is equipped with deck chairs and an outdoor shower. Above it is an avoca finca. The garden of the complex with palm trees and (sub-)tropical flowers is attractively designed and well grown.
The accommodation is centrally and conveniently located in the Aridane Valley, off the main road, in a private lane in between La Laguna and Todoque.
Here you can enjoy the country life. There is a bus stop about 7 minutes' walk away, but we still recommend hiring a car.
From the holiday home, you can reach the towns of Los Llanos de Aridane, El Paso, Villa de Tazacorte and the seaside resort of Puerto de Tazacorte within 15 minutes. Via Tazacorte, you can quickly reach the original northwest of the Canary Island of La Palma, above El Paso is the tunnel to the east side.
The two semi-detached houses can be connected if desired by opening the door to the household room between them.
Dos Caracoles is favourably situated in terms of climate at only 420 m on the sunny west side of Isla Bonita.
Here you have a great view of the mountain panorama - the back of the Caldera de Taburiente as well as the Cumbre Vieja volcanic chain. You have a sea-valley view from the garden in front of the house towards the west. You cannot see the sea directly from the living area, as the terraced plot is well grown in.
The holiday home offers a spacious, bright living room.
There is an open, very well equipped kitchen with work island, sofa corner with SAT-TV and garden as well as a dining area with round table.
To the left and right of it, the patio doors can be slid open, thus expanding the living space, inside and outside merge into each other. There are terraces on both sides, each with dining tables for six.
The three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are located in the stone-clad part of the building. This means they are well insulated and do not heat up too much in summer. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms also contribute to the ventilation. In an alcove in each bedroom there is an open wardrobe with clothes rail and shelf. The bathrooms are equipped with ground-level showers.
Family-friendly pricing: the price remains the same for one to four people.
NOTE: For occupancy of one to four people, only two bedrooms are open. If three or four people want to use all bedrooms, please specify 5 people when booking.
