Casita del Horizonte is situated on a plot of about one hectare below Puntagorda in a climatically very favourable secluded location.
The pretty little house offers approx. 70 sqm of living space for three adults or two adults with two children. The house has an outdoor area of approx.100 sqm with a terrace.
Puntagorda is ideal for excursions to the north of La Palma and to the highest point of the island, the Roque de Los Muchachos
Casita del Horizonte is located about 2km below Puntagorda, so a rental car is absolutely necessary.
It takes about five minutes by car and 35 minutes on foot to reach the centre of the village with its shops and restaurants. The area around the house is characterised by agricultural land and wasteland and is very sparsely populated.
There are many and varied hiking trails, viewpoints, some old windmills and a beautiful pine forest "El Fayal" with barbecue and picnic area and children's playground.
In El Puerto, you reach the sea after a descent on foot. There is no beach there, but in the summer months you can swim in the sea. In winter it is too dangerous because of the currents and the surf.
The drive to Puerto de Tazacorte to the large bathing beach takes approx. 25 minutes.
Marvellous far-reaching view
There is a wooden bench and two wooden armchairs directly in front of the house.
Here, the first rays of sunlight in the morning bathe the house in a pleasant light.
The pretty Casita del Horizonte lives up to its name and captivates with its unique view of the Atlantic and the surrounding area, which in this region is predominantly characterised by agriculture and banana cultivation.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy the sun directly in front of the house, where you will find a small table and two chairs as well as a parasol.
You can place the two sun loungers in your favourite spot, depending on your preference and the time of day.
Large, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows let a lot of light into the room and create an incredible far-reaching view.
The dining table is right next to the window, and you can enjoy the view of nature while having breakfast.
The living/dining area is divided into a modern kitchenette that leaves nothing to be desired and a living area with a sofa that can also be used as a sofa bed.
In the living area there is a glass cabinet and a small flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. The ambience is complemented by a beautiful old wooden chest and a few decorative elements that go very well with the rustic wooden gable roof.
From the living room, two doors lead to the bathroom and the separate bedroom.
The bathroom with shower/WC has a lot of storage space and is very tastefully and brightly furnished. The separate bedroom, which is right next to the bathroom, is small and narrow and therefore only suitable for one person, the view is to the rear into the garden.
A wooden staircase leads to a gallery above the living area.
Here is the open-plan bedroom with a French double bed. The furnishings are complemented by a beautiful wooden wardrobe, a chest and a comfortable sofa. The narrow window in the gable front offers a wonderful view.
