Casita del Aljibe - the water cistern
Casita del Aljibe is located in front of the finca's water cistern, from which it takes its name.
The aljibe was built from teawood, the resinous and extremely durable heartwood of the Canary pine trees.
The water cistern is over 150 years old and appears somewhat damaged, but it still functions perfectly and is in use.
Rainwater is collected here to irrigate the gardens and orchard.
However, we recommend not entering it.
From the terrace surrounding the aljibe, you can enjoy the fantastic view of the sea and the peaceful surroundings—the sunrise is particularly beautiful.
Casita del Aljibe was the original owners' residence.
The living/dining area still has its original wooden gable roof made of teawood and a wall niche that serves as a bookshelf.
The stylish bedroom with two single beds, like the other houses on the finca, has window seats.
The furnishings are in keeping with the rustic character of the house, but modern comforts such as flat-screen satellite TV and internet are also available.
Casita del Aljibe is part of a 4000 square meter finca
Three individual holiday homes – Casita del Porche, Casita del Horno, and Casita del Aljibe – are situated on different levels, nestled within a spacious, verdant estate with fruit trees, flowers, and native plants. The owners live in the fourth building.
Each house is a private sanctuary, with its own outdoor space to enjoy. Add to that unparalleled sea views and unforgettable sunrises. Here you can recharge, find peace, and be inspired – without sacrificing any comfort.
