The house and its equipment
Casa Las Martina is stylishly furnished in traditional country house style and equipped with lovely details.
Living area:
You enter the house through a porch with many windows. The light-flooded room houses the cosy living room. Here you will find a comfortable sofa and a large flatscreen with SMART TV (TV via Internet).
Dining and kitchen area: Directly adjacent is a spacious room with a modern kitchen with ceramic hob, microwave and fridge, a nice dining area and a small workstation. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, coffee machine, espresso pot and many useful utensils.
Bedroom: On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a French double bed and a large wardrobe.
Attic room: A wooden staircase leads from the bedroom to the cosy attic room. It is furnished with 2 comfortable reading chairs and offers plenty of space, for example for yoga. The room has full air conditioning (heating and cooling).
Bathroom: The bathroom is equipped with a shower, washbasin, bidet and WC.
The outdoor area is a real retreat
Two terraces with seating, sun loungers and parasols invite you to linger and relax.
In front of the house there is a pergola covered with bougainvillea and a terrace with seating and sun loungers. At the car park at the entrance to the property there is a simple wooden bench with a wonderful sea view. Behind the house there is a very romantic seating area with a marvellous view of the surrounding nature and the sea.
A kettle barbecue is also available.
The surrounding area is a hiker's paradise
The house is located in a picturesque hiking area. There are wonderful hiking trails in the surrounding area, such as an old royal path, the "Camino Real", which leads through old villages, vineyards, almond groves and deep gorges. A hidden path takes you to the sea in the bay of Lomada Grande in around 1.5 hours. The large beach of Tazacorte is approx. 35 minutes away by car.
Shopping facilities and catering
A special tip is the Camu Camu in Las Tricias, which can also be reached on foot in a good 30 minutes (2km). There is a supermarket there for daily shopping. There are further shopping facilities in Puntagorda, 5 km away, with 2 organic food shops, several small supermarkets, a pharmacy, petrol station, cafés, 2 pizzerias, bars and restaurants.
The producer's market "Mercadillo" in Puntagorda offers excellent shopping opportunities at the weekend.
Right next door you can cross the spectacular Izcagua gorge from a bird's eye view on a tirolina (zipline).
The nearest large beach is 30 kilometres away in Tazacorte, but there are several very idyllic natural beaches nearby, for example in Lomada Grande. You can also swim there in summer, but we advise against it in winter due to the strong currents.
