This enchanting little holiday home for two people is located in the middle of nature and is a perfect place to let go of everyday life

Wonderful sea views and a dreamy garden with palm trees, tropical plants and cosy spots create the best holiday atmosphere.

At night you can enjoy the unique starry sky of La Palma without light pollution. 

Casa Almendro (=almond tree) owes its name to the gnarled almond trees on the property and in the nearby surroundings.

In January/February, visitors are presented with a beautiful pink and white scenario, but also during the rest of the year, the location is very picturesque and the view spectacular.

The romantic holiday home is situated approx. 2km below the centre of Puntagorda in an absolutely secluded location below a small residential road. The last few metres to the house are on a dirt road, which can be easily negotiated if you drive carefully. However, a rental car is indispensable.

Shopping facilities and restaurants can be found in the tranquil village of Puntagorda. In addition to two organic food shops, the Mercadillo offers the best shopping opportunities for regional products on Saturdays and Sundays. The next big beach in Puerto de Tazacorte is about 20 km away. The wild beaches in the north are wonderful excursion destinations and in summer you can also swim there. In winter the current is too dangerous.

The whole region is a wonderful hiking area with a large network of paths. A narrow, hardly frequented hiking trail passes by the house, so you can start your hikes directly from the house.

The house 

The holiday home, built in 2008, is modern and individually furnished. Through perfect use of space and many windows, it appears much larger than 42 sqm would suggest.

The bright wooden gable ceilings and the predominantly light-coloured furniture create a pleasant feeling of space.   

The large French doors of the living room provide a view from the rattan seating area all the way to the sea. At the back of the room is a dining area with three chairs. The wooden table as well as the sideboard are handmade.

Next to the dining table is the small but very well-equipped kitchen. There is even a small dishwasher and a water purification system. So you always have fresh drinking water and don't need plastic bottles. Sliding doors separate the kitchen from the bathroom and bedroom. 

The bathroom is equipped with a shower, WC and washbasin. The spacious bedroom is stylishly furnished and has access to the front terrace. There is a large wooden wardrobe for your holiday wardrobe.

Underfloor heating is available throughout the house for the cooler months.

The outside area

In front of the house is a large terrace with sea view. From here you can enjoy the sunset from spring to autumn.

At the back of the house is another furnished terrace with morning sun and a view of the greenery. A staircase leads down to the lovingly planted garden. There are sunny and shady spots, depending on the time of day and mood - an idyllic place to read and dream.

You can park your rental car above the house in a small car park. A somewhat steep concrete path leads down to the house. The house is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
