Casa Alma is a lovely little holiday home with a private garden in Las Tricias
Alma means "soul" in Spanish.
Those who spend their holidays in Casa Alma in the midst of this beautiful nature of the popular hiking area will understand how aptly the name is chosen. The cosy 48 sqm living space is lovingly furnished for two people by the young owner.
The highlight is the spacious garden with a furnished wooden pavilion and a yoga platform. The ideal place for romantic sunsets in the evening with an unobstructed view of the Atlantic.
A rental car is absolutely necessary.
The village of Las Tricias is located in the middle of the most beautiful hiking area in the northwest of the island of La Palma
Las Tricias is famous for its beautiful path to Buracas, where you can find remains of prehistoric people, an old windmill converted into a museum and the famous dragon tree forest.
You can access the hiking trail directly from the house, which is a little further down. On the opposite side of the gorge is already Puntagorda and the market hall where a market takes place every weekend, this can also be combined with a nice walk.
Dragon trees and palm trees dominate the landscape and at the end of January the almond blossom transforms the entire northwest into a splendour of white to pink blossoms. Fantastic sunsets, untouched nature and kestrels circling in the sky - these are the ingredients for pure relaxation in Las Tricias.
Las Tricias has a small supermarket and a café with lunch, cakes and fresh juices directly on the church square in Las Tricias, where you can sit very nicely and the food is good.
In the village of Puntagorda, about 10 minutes away by car, you will find more shopping facilities. The western access road, which leads to the Roque de los Muchachos with the observatories, is about 15 minutes away by car.
The nearest access to the sea is 6 kilometres away, the port of Puntagorda. Here there is a separate pool and a ladder into the sea. Please be careful with currents and high waves not recommended. The nearest sandy beach is in Puerto de Tazacorte about 25 minutes by car.
Everything is available in a small space
The cosy house with a wonderful sea view has one bedroom, which is located on a gallery above the spacious living room with fully equipped kitchen.
The living area is very bright due to its two large glass doors to the terrace and the garden. A fireplace and an additional electric heater ensure a pleasant temperature in the house even in winter.
In addition to a high-quality sofa, guests naturally have access to satellite TV and internet. Adjacent to the living room is the bathroom with shower (massage jets), WC and radiant heater. There is also a small secretary with a beautiful mirror. From the living area you can enjoy the view of the greenery and the sea.
A wooden staircase leads to the loft where the sleeping area is located.
This room has also been optimally used and is equipped with a French double bed, a chest of drawers and an armchair.
The large outdoor area offers numerous possibilities
In the morning for breakfast there is a cosy bench with table directly in front of the house and in the afternoon the garden offers nice places for sunbathing.
For refreshment afterwards, there is a beautiful outdoor shower.
The wooden pavilion and the yoga platform are perfect places to relax with a beautiful view in the middle of nature and to watch the stars at night.
The sunsets overlooking the sea and the green canyons of the northwest are unique.
A small kettle grill is available to guests for a barbecue.
For hiking enthusiasts, the house is ideally located, you can start hiking directly from the house towards Camino Buracas, the famous dragon tree lined caves in Las Tricias.
