The Casa Rural Campana Vieja is situated in a rural area favoured by a warm climate.The Canary style architecture of the 100 years old Holiday House Campana Vieja has been preserved during the renovation in 2011. The original construction style was modernised by combining former separated sections through a front building.
Above the house are the accommodations Campana Nueva 1 and Campana Nueva 2.

Below the church at the village square there is a small supermarket and a bar.
The area around Tijarafe is characterised by unspoilt nature and offers beautiful destinations for a trip, for example the Pirate Bay on the coast of Tijarafe or driving up the Roque de los Muchachos. Puerto de Tazacorte, a small town at the sea with fish restaurants and a wide sandy beach is 20 driving minutes from Casa Campana Nueva, Los Llanos, the biggest town of La Palma is a 25-30 minutes' drive.
The centre of Tijarafe „El Pueblo“ is 10-15 driving minutes.
Notice:
Road works started in the municipality of Tijarafe at the beginning of February 2023. The works on the LP1 extend over 7.6 km. Curves will be straightened, narrow passages widened and three bridges are planned. The duration of the work is currently planned for four years, and there may be disruptions due to the construction work during this time and beyond. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when work will be carried out in which sections.
Historical and well provided Holiday House
The original part of the house was extended by a small front building, which connects the initially separated kitchen with the other rooms.
The old style kitchen is simple and rustic. A beautiful feature, as well as in the other rooms, is the dark Canary wood gabled roof. The white glaze tiles perfectly blend with the wooden kitchen cabinets. The kitchen is very well equipped with a coffee machine, a dish washer, a microwave oven, a ceramic hob and a fridge-freezer.
Still today the living-/dining area has remained the centre
There you can enjoy having your meals together, read, play or make yourself comfortable and watch TV.
A DVD-player as well as an internet access are available. Besides of the antique dining table for four persons the living/dining area is furnished with a sofa and two traditional rocking chairs from Cuba.
If required, the sofa can be folded out to be used as a sofa bed.
The windows, like most rural houses of La Palma, feature a small bench. In former times women sat there to do their handicrafts by daylight. The glass cabinet embedded in the wall is another traditional and beautiful detail.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms are located each on both sides of the living room.
One bedroom has two single beds and an antique dressing table. There is an open ceiling communicating with the living room and therefore acoustically not separated. The other bedroom has a double bed and a large wardrobe as well as a view of the swimming pool.
The pool area - an oasis of tranquillity
The pool area is located next to the Holiday House and is not visible from outside.
The swimming pool features a corner with a Jacuzzi, where you wonderfully relax in bubble water. Around the swimming pool there is an are with sun loungers and a sun umbrella. Enjoy the cosy picnic area under a palm tree with a natural stone table and stools. The barbecue is great to prepare fresh local products.
A few stairs lead to the roof terrace where you can have your breakfast while enjoying the morning sun.
