Holiday flat Insel 2 is located directly in the city centre of Los Llanos
This holiday flat on the 4th floor of a residential building with a shop is ideal for holidaymakers looking for a central base on the island and easy access to city life in La Palma.
A hire car is not strictly necessary here, as the central bus station in Los Llanos is just a 10-minute walk away.
If you are visiting the island to cycle, the owner will kindly provide you with a free parking space in his garage to store your bikes (upon request).
The well-equipped apartment is also an attractive option for those spending the winter here.
There is no private parking; on arrival, you will need to find a free parking space in the blue short-stay parking zone in the town centre. You will find large, free car parks a few minutes’ walk away.
If you are travelling with friends, you can also book Apt. Insel on the third floor. This way, you can stay close together whilst each having your own apartment.
In just a few minutes you’ll reach the pretty square with the 16th-century church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios
Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. A short way up the road is the Trocadero shopping centre, which has a supermarket in the basement.
Plaza de España in the town centre, with its large laurel trees, is the perfect spot to relax with a good cup of coffee, watch the world go by and soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere. From there, you can explore the picturesque alleys of the old town.
In just over 15 minutes, you can reach La Caldera by taxi or hire car, and from there you can hike towards Brecitos or into the Barranco de las Angustias.
The beach at Puerto de Tazacorte is a 10-15-minute drive away. There, in addition to a long beach promenade, you’ll find various restaurants serving fresh fish and other specialities, which you can enjoy whilst gazing out at the sea.
The flat was completely renovated and refurnished in 2019 and has been let to holidaymakers ever since.
Three floor-to-ceiling windows/doors in the living area and two in the bedroom, as well as a gap in the building opposite the house, ensure plenty of light and a wider view than in other flats in the city.
The doors can of course be opened, although there is no balcony in front of them.
55 square metres of living space offer plenty of room for two.
There is a fairly large living room with a combined dining area and a well-equipped fitted kitchen. The swivelling flat-screen TV on the wall offers German channels and international radio programmes in addition to Spanish TV.
A small hallway leads to the bathroom and bedroom.
The bedroom is furnished with a bed featuring a very comfortable mattress. An open wardrobe, two bedside tables with lamps and two stools complete this cosy room.
The windows can be darkened with roller blinds. Opposite is the bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower, washbasin, mirror and storage areas, as well as a toilet.
